A review of our business within the Yacht Crew Recruitment Market leads us to a hard decision. SYC now withdraws from recruitment and will refocus our energy on other opportunities. We would like to thank you for your support and business during the last four years.

Alongside crew recruitment, we have quietly developed an online procurement logistics service with a few of our closest clients. The popularity of this service has surprised and encouraged us, therefore we will now focus all our energy into development of a full commercial online procurement service for seafarers ‘Box Brown’ and launch onto the wider market.

SYC brings Seafarers easy access to the UK Online market

In the past Crew bought locally, used central Ship Chandlers and local Agents to source and deliver goods to the Yacht. Things have changed.

Online shopping brings wider choice, competitive pricing and is time efficient. It’s not quite so straightforward for us seafarers – online retailers may be well geared for their domestic market but not generally so good at servicing the needs of their overseas customer. SYC’s Box-Brown service makes online shopping easy for the overseas seafarer and saves money.

We provide you with a UK mailing address, which you pass on to the retailers when you shop online. We receive your online order and inform you it has arrived. You let us know whether to hold it, consolidate it with other received packages or send it to you fast and efficiently. Simple.
